Dr. Claudia Cooperman, Director of Health Sciences and Institute for Health Science Information, coopermanc@usf.edu
Dr. Claudia Cooperman is the Director of the Health Sciences Program and the Institute for Health Science Information. Dr. Cooperman received her Doctor of Philosophy in Cell and Molecular Biology with a concentration in Genetics from the University of Pennsylvania. Her post-doctoral work at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia focused on Diabetes and resulted in numerous publications and featured presentations. Dr. Cooperman was an administrator at CHOP prior to joining the faculty at USF where, as the Director of the Health Sciences Program, she wrote and implemented the highly interdisciplinary BS in Health Sciences degree program in 2012. Dr. Cooperman teaches core courses in the program including HSC 2000 "Introduction to Health Professions," oversees community engagement opportunities for the program and established its highly active internship program.
